about

Moon's Tunes Broomfield, Colorado

My first guitar got me through some tough times. My parents, to save our family from the grasp of meth, had just moved us to the country. For 10 years I strummed that guitar while our family fell apart. My songs are an attempt to reconcile the undisclosed story of my family--an emotional story of prayer, faith and forgiveness. ... more

Where I call home a telephone is ringing been waiting on a call from my little bro serving overseas bringing liberty back here to American Soil. And so where I call home you better tread lightly when you begin to infringe upon our rights we don’t like people rocking our boat and sticking their nose

Where I call home. We praise the Lord for what we got though it ain’t a lot, it gets us by. It’s a real good life. Where I call home us stubborn redneck folks put Christmas trees, crosses, flags, the 10 commandments anywhere we damn well please.

Where I call home they call us crazy ‘cause every last one has a loaded shotgun on safety in arms reach ‘til death we fight for our kids and wife. ‘Cause none of us knows when the world will be ending. Each disagrees on how Armageddon will happen but hell yeah we’ll be the last one’s standing there

Where I call home. We praise the Lord for what we got though it ain’t a lot, it gets us by. It’s a real good life. Where I call home us stubborn redneck folks put Christmas trees, crosses, flags, the 10 commandments anywhere we damn well please.

So come on down where the beer is colder, gives a buzz that likes to smolder while the band plays old George Strait cover tunes. Where the beer tastes good and the music sounds good and the people feel good, yeah, it’s all good where I call home.

Where I call home. We praise the Lord for what we got though it ain’t a lot, it gets us by. It’s a real good life. Where I call home us stubborn redneck folks put Christmas trees, crosses, flags, the 10 commandments.

Oh, where I call home. We praise the Lord for what we got thought it ain’t a lot, it gets us by. It’s a real good life. Where I call home us stubborn redneck folks put Christmas trees, crosses, flags, the 10 commandments anywhere we damn well please. Where I call home. Out where I call home.

In 1932 my grandpa was up against a wall. The nation was in a crash, but he was bound and determined not to fall. Put on his overalls and his work boots. Grabbed a lunch pail with just enough food and thought, "Is this the end all be all."

But as he headed to the farm one early day in March, he looked back and smiled at what he saw.

An open Bible on the kitchen table, a new born baby in a rocking cradle. The love of his life waving goodbye from the front porch. The stars and stripes of the American flag, waving over his piece of land. He couldn't have asked for more. Grandpa would always say, "The memories we make of this place are what we take to our grave."

In 1994 the year that Grandpa passed away, it seemed the whole world stopped for me and Pops when the news came. We went over there to his old home to gather up the things he owned. There wasn't much to his name.

We found a worn photograph there lying on the shelf, and I keep it now so I don't forget

That old farm house in black and white, an open field and open sky, the dirt lane where Grandma welcomed him home after the war. That wooden fence and his John Deere tractor, the backyard they filled with laughter. We couldn't have asked for more. Grandpa would always say, "The memories we make of this place are what we take to our grave."

There's a bridge across the creek on the North side of the property. The man who lives there now still lets us cut through his field. My dad, me, and the boys, tackle box and fishing poles, we spend the afternoon there on the shore. I couldn't ask for more.

Grandpa would always say, "The memories we make of this place are what we take to our grave."

You tell me through the bible. You say you want to speak with me tonight. You tell me to reveal what's deep inside. My stubborn heart, these dead end thoughts, the regret of all that's lost, oh, Lord, I'm sure you've heard it all a million times. Somewhere along the line I went astray. Now standing in the darkness, show me the way.

'Cause I stepped off the straight and narrow.
I put my heard in the devil's hands.
And I forgot which voice to follow.
But with a little help from thee, oh, Lord
I'll get back on the path.

I never thought I'd falter. I never thought I'd drift this far away. I don't know how to make it all okay. 'Cause I've made mistakes I can't erase. I make them every single day. Oh, Lord, sometimes I wonder if it's not too late. I have a broken heart willing to change. So if you can hear me, I'll start today.

'Cause I stepped off the straight and narrow.
I put my heard in the devil's hands.
And I forgot which voice to follow.
But with a little help from thee, oh, Lord
I'll get back on the path.

This burning in my heart. This stillness in my soul. An answer from the, Lord, tells me to let it go. I want to let it go.

'Cause I stepped off the straight and narrow.
I put my heard in the devil's hands.
And I forgot which voice to follow.
But with a little help from thee, oh, Lord
with a little help from thee, oh, Lord.
With a little help from thee, oh, Lord
I'll get back on the path.

I'll get back.

Brother don't die
Why
Aren't you putting up more of a fight

Brother don't leave
We've
Got more in common than you believe

As old as dirt and mud
A hand from up above
Chose us to be blood

Brother don't hide
I
Can see the soul behind your eyes

Brother beware
There's
A fire burning through the tares

Brighter than the sun
Shines on all we've done
There's nowhere to run

There's no other way
We are family

When heaven and hell collide
In the final war we fight
You and me
Side by side

There is no other way
'Cause we are family
There is no other way
'Cause we are family
